Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Business announced new capabilities for its Business VoiceEdge cloud-based PBX solution for SMBs. Now users can manage their unified communications (UC) features from iOS or Android smartphones. Other new capabilities include:
- VoiceEdge mobile app, with an interface to manage business voicemail and "Be Anywhere" features that allow business calls to be answered from any phone
- Teleworker, allowing Business VoiceEdge to be installed at an employee's home office
- Softphone for PC or Mac to allow users to make and receive phone calls directly from their computer
- Video calling
