Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) is having some busy times. The MSO has added an HD video offering for the hospitality market, extended its TWC TV app to Roku devices, and received a grant from New York to expand broadband service to unserved communities.TWC Business Class is launching HD Video for Hospitality across the greater New York City area, New York State, New England and the Carolinas. The new offering is intended to eliminate the need for headend equipment or in-room set-top boxes. The service features a small box mounted on the back of each of the hotel's HDTVs, an onscreen guide that can be customized with a hotel's logo and brand colors, and more than 100 available channels.The MSO's TWC TV channel is now available on Roku players. TWC TV is the MSO's video app for mobile devices and computers. Customers will be able to stream up to 300 channels of live programming in their homes through the Roku device at no additional cost.In New York, TWC has been awarded more than $5 million in state funding through Gov. Cuomo's Connect NY Broadband Grant Program. TWC will participate in the statewide broadband expansion project to deploy high-speed Internet service to more than 4,000 households in unserved communities throughout the state.
