Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is providing Ethernet services to Polartec, a manufacturer of high-tech fabrics, probably the most famous of which is its lightweight synthetic fleece. More than 1,000 Polartec employees in six offices around the globe are now connected via the company's existing virtual private network (VPN) over a Comcast Ethernet connection. Comcast installed an Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI) connection that is currently being used by all company employees, partners and sales teams.
