Omnitron and Cyan have completed integration of Omnitron's iConverter GM4 Network Interface Device (NID) into Cyan's CyPortal. The iConverter GM4 NID is designed to provide support for the IEEE 802.1ag and ITU-T Y.1731 standards for interoperability and SLA performance monitoring capabilities for cell backhaul.Cyan's CyPortal is the SLA assurance and customer portal component of the Cyan 360 software-defined operations system. CyPortal is designed to roll up SLA performance metrics from demarcation devices such as the Omnitron NID and correlate the performance data with individual customer services. The performance data is provided in a customer-oriented view that presents SLA reporting for Ethernet service quality parameters such as availability, delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss across multi-vendor networks.
