TiVo Adds Android App, Updates Software

TiVo has extended its TiVo App to Android phones and select tablets, including the Amazon Kindle Fire. Features include scheduling, metadata, search, social networking, gesture-based controls, program guide and a guest mode.The company has also released new software for TiVo Premiere DVRs. New features include an HD guide, information banner (previously channel banner), mini-guide and multiple tuner icons. It also allows streaming shows between TiVo Premiere DVRs and includes search and navigation enhancements.
