Edgeware's TV content delivery network (TV CDN) technology with edge repackaging uses software functions to manage content and network services, and a hardware-accelerated delivery layer to guarantee the performance of personalized streams to individual viewers.

Edgeware says its TV servers aren't limited by general-purpose computing architectures that suffer from CPU bottlenecks between storage and network delivery. Instead they enable a unique deterministic experience. And the Edge TV Repackager provides the flexibility to deliver any mix of TV services from one platform - whether they're over IPTV or WebTV, the company says.
