ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) has promoted Dan Whalen to president, Network & Cloud, effective immediately. Whalen will oversee the development and delivery of the company's portfolio of broadband and video network infrastructure technologies and cloud-based software solutions. He will report to ARRIS CEO Bruce McClelland.

Since 2013, Whalen was ARRIS's senior vice president and general manager of Global Services. Previously, the 20-year veteran has held various leadership positions at ARRIS, Cisco, KPMG, and Bell Atlantic.

"Dan played an instrumental role in scaling ARRIS's Global Services business into a key enabler of complex customer deployments around the world," said McClelland. "His proven track record of success, breadth of customer leadership, and strategic insights provide an excellent foundation for helping our Network and Cloud business achieve the next era of growth."
