CommScope (NYSE:COMM) is demonstrating its portfolio of fiber-optic products for service providers at 2016 FTTH Connect in Nashville this week, including the recently acquired TE Connectivity telecom, enterprise and wireless portfolios.

"The past decade brought disruption and diversification for service providers as they faced new competition and demands from consumers," said Werner de Wolf, senior vice president of Service Provider Solutions, CommScope. "Driving fiber deeper in the network can help address the need for speed, simplicity and savings."

CommScope's show presence includes technology for both fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) networks. Highlighted product families include the Rapid Fiber System of fiber drop and CPE gear, designed to reduce fiber cable congestion and offer easy installation. The company recently added Rapid Fiber solutions for multi-dwelling units (MDUs) with pre-terminated connections and integrated over-length management.

CommScope also recently introduced the FDH4000 fiber distribution hub (FDH), a sealed closure designed for use in underground locations. It is scalable up to 144 distribution and 12-72 feeder ports.
