South Korean operator LG U+ is expanding its deployment of ARRIS' (NASDAQ:ARRS) E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) to deliver gigabit broadband services across its nationwide footprint.

The rollout extends ARRIS's and LG U+'s partnership, following an initial deployment of E6000 CERs in major metro areas last year. The ARRIS E6000 CER enables LG U+ to build upon its existing HFC cable infrastructure. The E6000 CER is based on the CCAP specification for IP content delivery and is designed to be software-upgradable to support DOCSIS 3.1.
