At the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in New Orleans, ATX Networks will feature its new UCrypt IP-to-Analog (IP2A), and QAM-to-Analog (Q2A) gateways.

The UCrypt IP2A gateway is designed for conversion of IPvideo streams to NTSC or PAL analog formats in 1RU or 2RU. The device can ingest up to 60 MPEG-2/H.264, HD/SD video streams and convert them to NTSC or PAL.

UCrypt IP2A devices are intended for rebuilding an NTSC/PAL analog RF channel lineup in an all-IP headend or distributing analog RF to bulk accounts with non-digital TVs.

The UCrypt Q2A gateway is intended to allow MSOs to decrypt select programs from their digital tier and retransmit them in NTSC or PAL analog formats in 1RU or 3RU. The device can ingest up to 60 MPEG-2/H.264, HD/SD video streams and convert them to NTSC or PAL. It's field-upgradeable to digital QAM, features support for SDV channels and includes a configurable scrolling program guide channel.

UCrypt devices are also available in the following formats: QAM-to-QAM, QAM-to-IP, IP-to-QAM, and IP-to-IP.

In other ATX news, at Expo the company will be highlighting its DigiVu II Micro encoding platform with VMS Video Management System, intended for local insertion and backhaul applications. The encoder provides video support for multiple output profiles. Inputs include HD/SD-SDI, CVBS, HDMI, VGA, and component. Outputs include MPEG-2/H.264, SD/HD, and multiple output profile encoding.
