AT&T (NYSE:T) is launching its U-verse with GigaPower 1 Gbps Internet service in parts of Chicago. Various packages are available, including video and voice services, starting at $120 a month.

The telco launched the gigabit broadband service in parts of the Chicago suburbs of Elgin, Oswego, Plainfield, Skokie, Yorkville and surrounding communities in May. Also in May, Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) launched its 2 Gbps Gigabit Pro service in Chicago.
