Imagine Communications' SelenioNext live/multiscreen transcoder and Selenio Media Convergence Platform (MCP) Encoder have been approved for use with Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) Mediaroom IP video middleware platforms.

The SelenioNext ABR transcoder is designed to integrate multiple functions in a single COTS server platform. The Selenio MCP is designed to converge baseband and hybrid operations - including baseband video/audio processing, compression and IP networking - in a single platform.

Ericsson bought the Mediaroom business from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) in September 2013.
