Japanese cable operator Jupiter Telecommunications, better known as J:COM (JASDAQ:4817), has selected Casa Systems' C100G CMTS solution to support its rollout of a country-wide 320 Mbps Internet service that started in January.

J:COM provides cable TV, high-speed Internet access and telephony to more than 5 million households in Sapporo, Sendai, Kanto, Kansai and Kyushu. SCSK, headquartered in Tokyo, is the Japanese distributor for Casa Systems and assisted in the sale.

Casa introduced the C100G in 2013. In addition to Japan, it has since been deployed in Belgium and the United States, most recently with Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) in New York.
