Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) is giving visitors to Austin free access to the TWC WiFi network from March 13-22, coinciding with the SXSW festival. During the show, visitors and other non-TWC subscribers will have free access to more than 2,000 outdoor WiFi hotspots with no password required.

The TWC WiFi network launched in Austin in the fall of 2013 with 900 hotspots, and the number now stands at almost 4,000 indoor and outdoor hotspots. San Antonio is also in the middle of the MSO's TWC Maxx video, Internet and network reliability upgrade process.
