Beginning in April, Cable ONE plans to increase the Internet speeds on its Premier and Ultra plans. The company's Premier 60 Mbps plan will be automatically upgraded to 75 Mbps downstream and 5 Mbps upstream, and the Ultra 70 Mbps plan will be automatically upgraded to 100 Mbps downstream and 10 Mbps upstream.
The upgrades will be free to new and existing Internet customers in the majority of Cable ONE's markets. Speed increases are expected to be available across 99% of Cable ONE’s footprint by fall 2015.
The company invested nearly $80 million in upgrading its infrastructure in 2014 and plans to invest another $40 million in 2015. As Cable ONE continues to upgrade its infrastructure, it plans to launch even faster speeds in the future.
