Texas-based cable operator Grande Communications plans to launch 1 Gbps Internet service in San Antonio on March 3. Two neighborhoods, Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills, will be the first to be offered Grande's Power 1000 at $64.99 a month.

The company also plans to offer Internet speeds of 200 Mbps for $44.99, 300 Mbps for $54.99, and 400 Mbps/1 Gigabit for $64.99. Additionally, Grande will offer 15 Mbps at $29.99 and 50 Mbps at $34.99.
