Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) is starting its "TWC Maxx" upgrade process in the San Antonio metro area. The program includes Internet speed upgrades, all-digital video services and network reliability upgrades. The faster Internet speeds (up to 300 Mbps) are planned to launch starting in March and roll out to all customers in the San Antonio area by the end of July.

The MSO also plans to roll out TWC WiFi Hotspots in the San Antonio area this year. The WiFi hotspots have already started deploying in small business locations. Outdoor locations are expected to begin deployment toward the end of the first quarter.

TWC Maxx upgrades have been completed in Los Angeles and New York City, and are underway in Austin and Dallas, TX, as well as Kansas City.
