EXFO (NASDAQ:EXFO) unveiled an open analytics platform intended to offer an approach to quality management through adaptable analytics and workflow automation. With the evolution of the company's Xtract platform, EXFO has merged automation of service turn-up, active testing, passive monitoring and infrastructure polling into an end-to-end solution.

Designed to support network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN), Xtract is designed to leverage data from a multitude of sources - including field instruments, test probes and network equipment - to automate test and assurance routines, analyze performance baselines, and pinpoint service-affecting events. It's designed to be technology-, architecture- and vendor-agnostic.
