At CES in Las Vegas, ATEME announced LiveSphere, a live video broadcast solution intended to capture, stitch, stream and display video to provide an interactive multiscreen experience. It's designed to let viewers dynamically change the field of view using a remote control.

The dynamic selection of the field of view relies on a remote by 4MOD Technology to let the viewer navigate views through 360 degrees. The selected field of view is output over HDMI to any HD or 4K TV set. It's also designed to let service providers offer the service to their broadband subscribers with 4K-capable set-tops, even when they do not own 4K TV sets.

The LiveSphere demo application was run on a set-top box reference design based on the STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM) Cannes chipset under the Android L operating system.
