Envivio (NASDAQ:ENVI) announced the availability of version 4.0 of its Halo network media processor (NMP) video solution product, designed to support all Apple devices, such as Apple TV, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2.

Version 4.0 is designed to support multiscreen video streaming formats including HDS, HLS, MPEG-DASH, Smooth Streaming, with H.264 and HEVC video support, and new content protection schemes.

It's also designed to improve TV Anytime workflows by performing video encryption for video protection and interfacing with CDNs and DRM systems including Microsoft PlayReady, Adobe Access, and Google Widevine.
