    Taiwan Broadband Communications has selected the ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) CCAP-capable E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) to upgrade broadband speeds and support converged data/video services. TBC plans to offer high-speed data services of 1 Gbps and beyond, and also to prepare for DOCSIS 3.1.

    Deployment is expected to begin in November. TBC serves more than 750,000 cable TV households and is a CableLabs member.
