Qwilt Shows Caching Software

At Cable-Tec Expo, Qwilt is exhibiting its Video Fabric Controller. The software platform is designed to combine transparent caching, video delivery, and analytics and to run on commodity hardware.

The controller monitors the network for video traffic, identifies the most popular titles, stores them locally, and delivers content to subscribers from close proximity without repeatedly fetching duplicate content from origin sites or remote CDN nodes.
