Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) recently launched its TWC WiFi network in the San Diego area and plans to expand it. The network currently has more than 300 hotspots locally, with plans to add hundreds more by the end of the year.

Time Warner Cable launched its Southern California WiFi Network in Los Angeles in 2011 and has expanded to the Coachella Valley and San Diego over the last year, reaching more than 17,000 hotspots throughout the region.

While the network is expected to grow throughout Time Warner Cable's San Diego footprint, initial deployment is focused on heavily populated areas in Carlsbad, Coronado, Del Mar, La Jolla, Mission Beach and Pacific Beach.
