Piksel has launched the Piksel Video Platform. The multiscreen solution is designed to enable content owners, aggregators and distributors to launch OTT online video offerings without having to invest in a static platform. Built on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model, the platform will be demonstrated at IBC 2014 for the first time.

Piksel's services-oriented architecture (SOA) framework, the Piksel Palette, is the foundation of the new video platform. A modular approach is intended to allow customers to select only the functionality they need and also to integrate with legacy infrastructures. The platform is also designed for rollout to multiple devices with a consistent look and feel across devices.
