SCTE, CableLabs Plan Wireless/DOCSIS 3.1 Confab

The SCTE and CableLabs are collaborating to present a wireless and DOCSIS 3.1 Pre-Conference Symposium on Sept. 22, in conjunction with Cable-Tec Expo.

The full-day symposium will bring together subject-matter experts to explain the current status of the two technologies, their potential impact on operators’ service bundles and their ability to improve customer experiences. In addition, the symposium will discuss in detail the technical requirements and engineering techniques needed for successful deployments.

Wireless sessions will address Carrier Grade WiFi; WiFi Analytics, Cloud and Radio Resource Management; Community WiFi; and WiFi Antenna Design and Surveying. DOCSIS 3.1 sessions will include Current Status and Schedule; Bandwidth Opportunities; DOCSIS 3.1 Profiles - Customizing Bandwidth; and Operational Integration and Proactive Network Maintenance.
