Portuguese cable operator NOS is deploying Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) CCAP technology for delivery of video and DOCSIS broadband services over a single access infrastructure. The deployment includes Cisco's Universal Broadband Router uBR10K, 3G60, RF Gateway 10 and DS384 line cards. It also includes Cisco's Evolved Services Platform (ESP) to provide software orchestration; it's intended to manage the capacity between video and DOCSIS by adjusting orchestration software.
