Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) will be using Irdeto Rights to secure linear and VOD content as a managed service through the cloud to IP devices. Irdeto is also working with Liberty to secure content over IP via the set-top-box video gateway.

Liberty's cloud-based over-the-top (OTT) service is available free of charge to consumers when they subscribe to both Liberty Global's internet and TV packages, and is now live in Ireland and the Netherlands, with additional countries to follow in the coming months.
