At TV Connect 2014 in London, Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) will unveil its IPTV 2.0 solution, a video delivery framework intended to simplify the migration to an all-IP and all-HTTP ABR streaming architecture. It's designed to provide pay TV service providers with a unified platform for broadcast and multiscreen delivery and to make more efficient use of bandwidth. The scalable platform is designed to support hundreds of channels and millions of end-users.

The IPTV 2.0 solution is based on a next-generation headend with unified broadcast and multiscreen components, including Harmonic's ProStream with ACE real-time transcoder, ProMedia Live real-time multiscreen transcoder, Electra multiservice encoder, and ProMedia Origin multiscreen stream packager and server.

The company will also demonstrate an end-to-end OTT multiscreen workflow with its ProMedia multiscreen preparation solution, including support for HEVC encoding and 4K Ultra HD video format, closed captioning, regional blackouts, and local ad insertion.
