According to the NCTA, the increasing availability of WiFi service heads the list of the top five cable technology achievements of 2013. Cable alone added thousands of hotspots in 2013, for a total of more than 200,000. Today, for no extra charge, cable customers get fast WiFi almost anywhere and, as spectrum becomes available, those hotspots are expected to become even faster.The NCTA's full "Top 5" list includes:
