CableLabs has deployed CommScope's hydrogen fuel cell technology to support the R&D consortium's headend and CMTS at its headquarters in Louisville, CO.The solution, which is designed to provide up to 16 hours of backup power, uses hydrogen powered fuel cells to provide an environmentally friendly backup power solution for network sites, including cable network headends and hub equipment.In 2011, the SCTE deployed the same solution to provide backup power to its data center at its headquarters in Exton, PA.
