The Converged Solution Platform is part of CommScope's full CCAP strategy and was awarded honorable mention designation by the Diamonds judges. The CSP, configured as an edge QAM, enables up to 160 video and/or DOCSIS QAMs per service group with complete frequency agility across the downstream spectrum.
A DPoE EPON configuration will allow commercial services to be provided over a low-cost standards-compliant PON architecture. Rich Ethernet services will be delivered for SLA-quality commercial accounts at costs scalable for residential services. A rollout planned for 2014 will add non-routed CMTS capabilities.Specifically, there are two models of the CSP. The 640 is a 9RU model with 10 line card slots, and the 1280 is a 15RU model with 22 line card slots. Both will be available with six-port downstream line cards (160 QAMs per port) and 12-port upstream line cards (six channels per port).
