Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) has been building its WiFi network in the Austin area and now offers 900 hotspots at no cost to TWC customers with Standard Internet or above, and on a pay-as-you-go-basis to non-subscribers. By the end of the year, the MSO expects to have 1,350 WiFi hotspots in Austin with continued growth in 2014.TWC WiFi deployment is also underway in southern California, Kansas City, Hawaii, Charlotte and New York City and currently provides access to more than 23,000 hotspots.
