Portuguese operator ZON Multimedia has selected Envivio (NASDAQ:ENVI) software-based headend solutions to power a set of DVB-S and DVB-C transport streams to provide pay TV services, as well as mobile TV services delivered to any screen. The deployment includes Envivio's Muse encoders, 4Caster G4, and Spark receivers and multiplexers. ZON serves more than 1.5 million subscribers in Portugal and recently announced a merger with Optimus Portugal, another Envivio customer.
