Cox Communications announced that customers with its Preferred, Premier or Ultimate High Speed Internet service now have access to more than 150,000 CableWiFi hotspots across the country. CableWiFi, announced at the Cable Show last year, is a cooperative effort among Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox and Time Warner Cable. The hotspots are located in high-traffic areas such as restaurants, malls, sports arenas, parks and beaches in cities like Washington DC, Boston, Richmond, Philadelphia and San Francisco.More hotspots are expected to be added before the end of the year as the integration with other cable operators continues, adding major business and travel destinations such as Los Angeles and New York.
