The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has recognized Cablevision's (NYSE:CVC) network DVR service with an Emmy Award for Technology and Engineering for its "Pioneering Work in Implementation and Deployment of Network DVR." The Emmy Award pays tribute to Cablevision for designing and pioneering the first deployable platform to support network DVR.Cablevision's Multi-Room DVR for Optimum TV is designed to record 10 programs simultaneously and record hundreds of hours of content. Additionally, it turns every set-top box in the home into a DVR and lets viewers watch recorded content from any TV set.
