NTS (NYSE:NTS) has connected its first fiber customer in Abilene, TX, further expanding the company's fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network. The Abilene buildout is a "metro build" targeting more than 1,000 business customers and modeled after the company's metro build in Wichita Falls, TX.NTS' ongoing fiber build out, when completed, is expected to reach 19 new communities, bringing the company's total FTTP passings to more than 53,000.
