The SCTE will be collaborating with CableLabs for a DOCSIS 3.1 Engineering Pre-Conference Symposium on Oct. 21, the day before Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta.The symposium is intended to provide a 360-degree view of DOCSIS 3.1, including the downstream physical layer, the downstream convergence layer, the upstream physical layer, upstream framing onto the PHY, and the MAC layer. In addition, the symposium will address preparation of cable networks for the specification and an overview of MSOs' deployment plans.
