Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) has made a number of advancements in its Videoscape Unity IP video platform. The company has extended Cisco Open Networking Environment (ONE) to video and added support for open software, as well as integrating third-party vendors with Videoscape Unity to deliver monetizable video for cable operators.Videoscape Unity focuses on a consistent interface to bring together video, social networking and other information, using multiple screens for personalized, synchronized, and more social experiences. It features Cisco's Open API Framework for modular APIs across cloud, network and client assets; support for the Comcast RDK; cloud TV; software and user interfaces; video over IP; and the Videoscape Unity Unified Gateway.
