Kansas Fiber Network, a consortium of 29 carriers across the state, has upgraded its packet optical network to up to 100G speeds using Cisco's (NASDAQ:CSCO) carrier packet transport and coherent optical DWDM technology. KFN provides data, optical transport and IP-based services to wireless and wireline telecommunication carriers across its 2,700-route mile statewide network.
