CommScope's E2O (Electrical to Optical) cable is designed as a bridge from HFC networks to a fiber rich network for deployment of business services. It combines the company's microducts and microcables, along with fiber and coaxial cable in one sheath. The design is intended to help operators avoid the cost of overlaying new fiber plant on existing coaxial plant, as when business services are added or higher bandwidth services are required.
