WDM Market to Reach $13 Billion in 2017

According to the Dell'Oro Group, total worldwide wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) market revenue is forecast to grow at a 10% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years, reaching $13 billion in 2017. The research house expects most of the growth to be driven by 40G and 100G deployments, with 100G shipments expected to grow at a 75% CAGR over the next five years, to make up about 60% of the WDM capacity shipments in 2017.
