Debuting at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011, the Harmonic ProMedia Capture video ingest engine combines two independent ingest channels with VTR control to automate the real-time acquisition of live and recorded HD/SD video for production and multiscreen file-based workflows.Browser-based remote operation enables accessibility from anywhere. The product can be integrated with Omneon MediaGrid shared storage and the Harmonic WorkFlow System (WFS) for editing and automated workflows. Installed as part of a shared storage environment, or utilized with its built-in storage for standalone use, the ProMedia Capture is designed to fit into any existing video mastering, repurposing, archiving and VOD export workflow.
