The Orange TV Group will use video processing technology from Elemental to expand its Genflix over-the-top (OTT) content delivery service in Indonesia through PT Mega Media. The Live and Elemental Server will enable subscribers to access Genflix's six linear channels and VOD offerings using mobile apps for Google Android and Apple iOS-based phones. PT Mega Media will be able to repurpose linear and VOD streams for all platforms with guaranteed content security, Elemental asserts.
In addition, Elemental video processing software will help support PT Mega Media's video infrastructure as the company works to grow its subscription base to 500,000 customers. In the Genflix workflow, Elemental Live encoders stream content which Irdeto manages for delivery with its multiscreen services. The live workflow is managed by Elemental Conductor, which also provides system and redundancy management. This latter capability is important given the geographic challenges of offering pay TV services to an archipelago nation where many live in villages far from urban centers, Elemental says. Irdeto Multiscreen controls Elemental Server and all VOD processing.
