The newest Tektronix video content monitor, the 4 Diamond Sentry ABR, is a monitoring solution for post-fragmented adaptive bitrate streams. It supports both 1 and 10 GigE interfaces and can process up to 250 top manifests, each supporting up to 12 representations of each program. Beginning with ingest at the headend, Sentry can monitor all received transport streams to identify audio and video errors in the content before they are passed to subscribers. The granularity of the tool is what one Diamonds Judge says "sets it apart" in its field and makes it a monitor that the industry "really need(s) to manage IP video." and €œwill be useful to cable operators as we move to the TV Everywhere world.” Visit Tektronix online.Return to the main Diamond Technology Reviews Program.
