Dubbed a "Cadillac of a tester" by one Diamonds judge, the R&S EFL210 CATV analyzer and leakage detector locates loose connections and damaged shielding that otherwise might generate unwanted emissions in the LTE network or the aeronautical band. As leakage limits grow stricter and plants need to be tighter, the greater the need for the sensitivity provided by this tool, one judge said.
The device operates as both a spectrum analyzer and an FFT analyzer, with an FFT bandwidth of 20 MHz and a measurement range of 100 MHz. This covers the entire LTE band simultaneously. The top of the screen shows the spectrum currently being measured while at the bottom is a spectrogram display of measurement results. This ensures that even sporadic events are visually captured.
