On April 16, the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) announced its new award program: the first annual Fiber Forward AMPLIFY Awards.
The nominations for the awards close May 15 and winners will be recognized at Fiber Connect 2024, July 28-31, in Nashville, Tennessee, alongside winners of the Star, Photon, and Gene Scott awards
FBA reports that the awards will recognize individuals, companies, and innovations that have amplified and advanced the fiber broadband industry.
Evann Freeman, vice president of Government and Community Relations at EPB of Chattanooga and FBA Board Member and Conference Committee Chair, said in a press release, “The fiber broadband industry has witnessed so much outstanding work and progress as we work together to connect every American to reliable broadband service. The Fiber Forward AMPLIFY Awards expand our acknowledgment of the individuals and companies that are advancing our mission. These awards highlight key categories of contributions that strengthen our industry and bring us closer to closing the digital divide for good.”
Individual categories include Fiber Under Forty, Women Changing Fiber for Good, and Advocacy Allstars. Company categories include Community Impact, Product Innovation, Taking Fiber Further, and Constellation. FBA’s conference committee will announce the finalists for each award on June 14.
