The extension will provide high-speed internet to thousands of residents and businesses in the area.

Gigapower announced on April 2 that it is expanding its fiber internet network to thousands of businesses and residents in Eatonville, Florida. Funding for the extension of the company’s commercial wholesale, open access platform comes from AT&T and BlackRock’s diversified infrastructure business.

Eatonville Mayor Angie Gardner said in a press release, “Eatonville, with its rich history, is in an era of change, growth, and improvement. Bringing a fiber optic network to our community is another certainty that the change occurs in real-time. Our hope is that this will provide residents and businesses with the access to reliable, high-speed internet they need to compete in today’s digital world.”
