Fidelity Communications invests $3M+ to upgrade fiber network in New Roads, LA

Fidelity anticipates the fiber network upgrade will be completed by April 2022.

Fidelity Communications, part of the Cable One family of brands, announced it will begin construction in mid-July on a $3.1 million upgrade to its fiber-rich network in New Roads, Louisiana and surrounding communities.

The company says project will further strengthen the reliability of Fidelity’s high-speed internet service, while also preparing for the future connectivity needs of the New Roads community.

“Fidelity understands the importance of a fast and reliable network that allows our customers to stay connected to loved ones, work, school and entertainment," said Kip McVey, Fidelity's Texas and Louisiana General Manager.

McVey added, "The digital needs of our residential and business customers are advancing rapidly. Continuous investment in our network and the New Roads community allows us to stay ahead of those needs by creating a fast and reliable network that will support next-generation technology.

The company anticipates the fiber network upgrade will be completed by April 2022.
