Fidelity Communications announced that it began construction this month on a $7.5 million upgrade to upgrade its fiber-rich network to Saline and Pulaski Counties in Arkansas.
Work for the network improvements will begin this month, and is expected to last through April 2021. The network upgrade covers 520 miles and will add nearly 100 miles of fiber to the company’s plant.
The project will further strengthen the reliability of Fidelity’s high-speed internet service, while also preparing for the future connectivity needs of its customers.
“Fidelity understands the importance of a fast and reliable network that allows our customers to stay connected to what matters most,” said Donna Chatman, Fidelity’s Arkansas general manager.
Fidelity Communications is a broadband communications provider and part of the Cable One family of brands, which serves more than 900,000 residential and business customers in 21 states.
Chatman added, “The digital needs of our residential and business customers are advancing rapidly, and we are actively working to stay ahead of those needs by creating a fast and reliable network that will support next generation technology.”
