Tempo Communications (formerly Greenlee Communications) has introduced fiber tool kits designed to give communications technicians the instruments needed to install and test today's fiber-optic networks.

Tempo's Fiber Optic Tool Kits are available in four configurations. Each kit includes a tool bag and contains all of the common tools required to effectively and safely complete the job in an efficient and timely manner.

"The tools themselves are best-in-class," said Keith Foord, fiber product manager for Tempo Communications. "The new tool bag is like icing on the cake and is made to safely house and organize all the tools for easy access."

The bag includes extra pockets to hold accessories and other tools that the technician may add over time.

Customers can choose one of four options: Basic Tools Kit, Pro Tools Kit, Pro Plus Tools Kit, and Termination Tools Kit. The various configurations include items such as:

  • Kevlar cutters
  • Long-nose pliers
  • 3-in-1 fiber-optic stripper
  • Visual fault locator
  • Micro optical power meter (OPM)
  • 915CL cleaver

Two new members of Tempo's Fiber Tool portfolio are also available in the kits, a drop cable stripper and a ring and slit stripper.
